On Wednesday June 10th, there will be an optional Pride lunchtime drop-in event in the gym, hosted by MYP 2 parent Ms. Fong, to coincide with the city-wide Vicenza Pride event taking place later that week.
This will be a joyful community event that brings students together through shared activities, music and conversation. It is designed as an accessible, pressure-free introduction to themes of inclusion, identity, and belonging – values that lie at the heart of who we are as an international school community.
The day is simply about celebrating kindness, curiosity, and the idea that every person deserves to feel seen and welcome.
Activities will include:
- Friendship bracelet making using rainbow and pride-flag colour palettes
- Guided journaling prompts on identity and belonging
- A photo wall: “What makes you, YOU?”
- A collaborative art piece celebrating our school community
- A free reading corner with curated inclusive books
Students are welcome to drop in at any point during lunch, participate in as many activities as they feel comfortable with, or simply spend time in a welcoming and supportive environment. If you would prefer that your child does not participate, please let the school office know in advance.
