Our PYP2 students have been working on something truly special these past few weeks. “Leaving Traces” is an interdisciplinary project that brings together Art, Music, and Physical Education in a creative and joyful way, inviting students to explore how their bodies move to music and express themselves by literally leaving a mark.
Through colour, rhythm, and movement, students have been discovering how these three disciplines connect and influence each other. In Art, they created visual patterns inspired by their own movements. In Music, they listened, moved, and felt how different rhythms shape the way we carry ourselves. In PE, they developed coordination, spatial awareness, and confidence through dance and creative exercises.
The project came to a wonderful close on 22nd October, when PYP2 parents were invited into school to join their children for a very special culminating session. Together, they created, and left their traces side by side, guided by the music and by the energy that only comes from doing something meaningful with the people you love most.
The pictures say it all. Thank you to our PYP2 families for bringing so much warmth to this experience, and to our teachers for making it possible.
