This week, our MYP4 and MYP5 students experienced a visual approach that transformed the <em>Inferno<\/em> into a living story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We were honoured to welcome <strong>Prof. Giovanna Vigili de Kreutzenberg<\/strong>, a highly respected <em>liceo classico<\/em> teacher known for her innovative visual method of teaching Italian literature. Her visit was organised by our Italian Literature teachers, <strong>Ms. Bagnara<\/strong> e <strong>Ms. Picariello<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Professor Vigili de Kreutzenberg began by introducing <strong>FAI \u2013 Fondo per l\u2019Ambiente Italiano<\/strong> to the MYP4 students, highlighting the organisation\u2019s commitment to protecting Italy\u2019s cultural and artistic heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She then met with our MYP5 LangLit students for a captivating lecture on <strong>Dante\u2019s Inferno<\/strong>. Her method is truly unique: she believes that images help students grasp complex concepts and remember them more deeply. For her, teaching Dante means blending poetry with visual storytelling. Students do not only read the verses, they <em>draw<\/em> the scenes, the characters and the emotions, turning each Canto into a vivid narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her exploration of <strong>Canto I<\/strong> e <strong>Canto V<\/strong> was especially engaging, sparking thoughtful discussion and genuine curiosity. By the end of the lesson, students agreed unanimously that she will always be a welcome guest in their classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A morning that celebrated literature, creativity and the power of looking at classic works through new perspectives.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What if studying Dante began not with reading, but with seeing?
