How do you learn to make choices that will shape your future?
At H-FARM International School Vicenza, we believe that learning to choose with awareness and confidence is one of the most valuable lessons of all, and that real understanding often comes from experience rather than from textbooks.
Our MYP5, DP1 and DP2 students recently took part in a two-day journey in Milan entirely dedicated to career and university exploration. Among the highlights was the CIS International University Fair at Bocconi University, where students met representatives from over 80 universities from Italy, the UK, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, the Netherlands and beyond.
More than just an orientation event, the fair offered a meaningful chance for students to connect ideas, aspirations and possibilities, reflecting on how their strengths and interests can shape their future pathways.

As Francesco Pettinato, MYP & DP Teacher of Economics and University and Career Counsellor, explained:
“Once again, H-FARM International School Vicenza provided our older students with an exceptional opportunity to spend two days in Milan entirely dedicated to careers and university exploration. We visited Università Cattolica, Bocconi for the CIS International University Fair, and NABA. Our students demonstrated outstanding commitment and behaviour throughout the experience, and we continue to champion the importance of initiatives like this in supporting their future aspirations.”
This experience perfectly reflects the IB philosophy, where education is not only about acquiring knowledge but about developing self-awareness, curiosity and purpose. By engaging directly with universities and professionals, students learn to ask meaningful questions, evaluate their options critically and make decisions aligned with who they are and who they want to become.
At H-FARM, we guide our learners to see every choice as an opportunity for growth and to understand that shaping their own path is, in itself, a powerful act of learning.
A heartfelt good luck to all our students who are now facing this important step. May you approach it with curiosity, courage and confidence.
