Being an inquirer is at the heart of the IB Learner Profile. In this spirit, we are happy to invite families, teachers, and members of our community to support the research work of Tommaso and Viola (DP2 students) by taking part in this short questionnaire, which is an essential part of their Environmental Systems & Societies Internal Assessments.
Dear Students, Teachers, and Members of the Vicenza Community,
We are writing to present our survey for ESS IA.
As part of our research, we need to collect information from the community.
This data will help us understand real habits, opinions, and environmental awareness in our school and local area.
The purpose of our IAs is to investigate the relationship and differences between age and gender, water overuse, and fast fashion habits.
Our survey has two main sections:
– Viola’s section, which focuses on the problem of water overuse and the importance of
water conservation. Her research question is “How aware are different generational groups (Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, Boomers) in Vicenza, Italy, about the effects of the overuse of water?”
– Tommaso’s section, which looks at fast fashion and how aware people are of its
environmental impact. His research question is ” To what extent do awareness of fashion consumption patterns differ among students, young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors in Vicenza, and how do age and gender influence purchasing behaviour?”
The questionnaire includes personal questions linked to your behavior and awareness. Your answers will help us evaluate the connection between age groups and the effect of water in a domestic context.
Your participation will help us complete our scientific investigation and better understand these two important issues.
We want to inform you that:
● All answers are private and anonymous.
● The information will be used only for scientific purposes in our ESS project.
● When the project is finished, all data will be deleted permanently.
Thank you for supporting our work and for taking the time to fill in our survey.
If you have any questions, feel free to email one of us or our supervisor, Nicolas Pileggi. His email is nicolas.pileggi@h-is.com
Kind regards,
Tommaso and Viola
