We are pleased to inform you that on Thursday, May 7 at 2:30 PM, our students will have the opportunity to meet the author Cinzia Capitanio during a special in-class session.
In preparation for this event, students are currently reading her book “Una bottiglia nell’oceano”. The story follows Emilio, an Italian child who emigrates to the United States in 1910, and connects closely with the themes explored in Unit 4 on migration.
This meeting will offer students a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of the story, engage directly with the author, and explore the creative process behind the book.
To support this experience, the school will provide each student with a personal copy of the book. This will be used for class activities and can be signed by the author during the visit. At the end of the project, students will take their copy home.
We are confident this will be a meaningful and engaging experience for our students.
