This week, our MYP and DP students came together for the Pride Social Day, a student-led initiative organised by a group of passionate volunteers in collaboration with the PTA.
Colour, music, and good conversation set the tone for a joyful afternoon. Students explored interactive stations with colours and bracelets, discovered LGBTQ+ cultural and pop icons, and had the chance to sign an Ally pledge – a simple but meaningful commitment to stand by others and make our school a place where everyone feels seen.
By the end of the day, 52 students and 10 members of staff had signed the pledge.
No prior knowledge was required, and none was expected. This was simply a day about curiosity, kindness, and the belief that every person deserves to belong – values that connect naturally to who we are as an IB community and as an international school.
