As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting families throughout their children’s educational journey, the school is pleased to host a series of presentations dedicated to the different stages of the IB Continuum.
These three sessions are designed to offer parents a clear and comprehensive overview of the next steps in their child’s learning path — from PYP to MYP and through to the DP — while strengthening the vital partnership between school and home.
From PYP Early Years to PYP5: A Journey of Continuous Growth
On Tuesday, October 21st at 9:00 a.m., parents of Reception students are warmly invited to attend an information session on the Primary Years Programme (PYP), led by Ms. Stefania Pasquali (PYP Head) and Ms. Asli Celik (PYP Coordinator).
The presentation will explore:
- the principles that guide the PYP, encouraging curiosity, independence, and reflective thinking;
- the advantages of being part of an IB Continuum School, where each stage of learning builds naturally on the previous one;
- what to expect as children move into the next phase of their educational experience, in an environment that nurtures both personal and academic growth.
This will be a valuable opportunity to learn more about the IB approach and to engage in conversation with the teaching team.
(Parking will be available for this event.)

From PYP to MYP: Developing Critical Thinking and Self-Awareness
Also on Tuesday, October 21st, at 8:30 a.m., PYP5 parents are invited to a session introducing the Middle Years Programme (MYP), presented by Ms. Natasha Overy (MYP Head) and Mr. Francesco Pettinato (MYP Coordinator).
The meeting will provide insight into the values and objectives of the MYP — a programme designed to guide students as they grow in intellectual independence, fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
It will also be a moment to understand how the IB Continuum ensures consistency and depth in learning, supporting each student in developing their own way of thinking, learning, and engaging with the world.
(Parking will be available for participants.)

From MYP to DP: New Challenges and Future Opportunities
Finally, on Saturday, October 18th at 9:30 a.m., MYP2 and MYP3 parents are invited to a presentation focused on the transition to High School, with a particular emphasis on the Diploma Programme (DP).
The session will be led by Ms. Natasha Overy (MYP Head), Mr. Francesco Pettinato (MYP Coordinator), and Mr. David Coppard (DP Head & Coordinator).
During the presentation, the speakers will highlight:
- the benefits of continuing within the IB Continuum through to the Diploma Programme;
- the skills, methodologies, and opportunities that the DP provides as preparation for university studies;
- the pedagogical coherence that connects PYP, MYP, and DP into one continuous and internationally recognized learning journey.
This meeting will be an opportunity to look ahead together — exploring future pathways and understanding how each step of the IB journey helps shape thoughtful, curious, and confident learners ready to take on new challenges.

These sessions are not only informative occasions, but also opportunities for dialogue and connection.
Accompanying our students through their IB journey means helping them build, step by step, the foundations for lifelong and meaningful learning.
We look forward to welcoming you!
