Dear Families,
We’re pleased to share more about the exciting STEM weekend taking place at the Venice Campus on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2025, organised in collaboration with Greenlight for Girls (g4g), an international non-profit committed to empowering girls through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
This special event is designed for girls aged 10 to 15 and offers an inspiring blend of hands-on learning, scientific exploration, and career inspiration. On Saturday, participants will enjoy a full day of interactive workshops, during which they will engage in real scientific experiments, learn how to extract DNA, explore the chemistry of polymers, and take on tech challenges — all led by women working in STEM fields. The goal is to spark curiosity and confidence through direct experience, while creating a space for girls to connect, experiment, and be inspired.
On Sunday morning, the programme continues with career talks focused on helping participants imagine their future in STEM. Female professionals will share their personal journeys, offering valuable insights into a wide range of STEM careers.
While the event itself is free of charge, participants had the option to attend only Saturday’s session or stay overnight at the H-FARM boarding facility and also take part in Sunday’s programme. Accommodation came at a minimal cost of €25.
Please note that registrations are now closed and all spots allocated to our school have been filled.
We thank all families for the enthusiastic response. We are excited for our students who will take part in this exceptional opportunity and look forward to sharing updates from the event.
Warm regards,
The School Office
